Being brought back for extradition does not protect you from other charges

If you are brought back to Hawaii through extradition, you can still be tried for other crimes you committed in Hawaii, not just the one listed in the extradition request. This section says you have no right to asylum and no immunity from other prosecutions.

The statute, as written — No right of asylum; no immunity from other criminal prosecutions while in this State

After a person has been brought back to this State by or after waiver of extradition proceedings, the person may be tried in this State for other crimes which the person may be charged with having committed here as well as that specified in the requisition for the person's extradition.
