Court decides if hearings are open or closed

In cases related to this chapter that the State brings, the court can decide whether the hearings are open to the public or closed. The court will consider the rights of people affected by the case before making that decision.

In any proceeding ancillary to or in any civil action instituted by the State under this chapter the proceedings may be open or closed to the public at the discretion of the court after consideration of the rights of affected persons.
