Ordinary disability retirement for military members

This section says that if a military member leaves the armed forces and meets the retirement law's requirements, they can get an ordinary disability retirement benefit. The benefit is calculated using the same rules as other members, including any service credit saved under the Servicemen's Act.

The statute, as written — Ordinary disability retirement benefit

If a service member terminates the service member's service in the armed forces and complies with and fulfills the requirements of sections 88-75, 88-284, or 88-334, as applicable, including and taking into consideration the service credit preserved and allowed to the service member under the Servicemen's Act, the service member shall be entitled to the ordinary disability retirement benefit prescribed in the applicable section, computed as provided in sections 88-76, 88-284, or 88-335, including and taking into consideration the service credit preserved and allowed to the service member under the Servicemen's Act.
