What the ombudsman must tell you and the agency

This section says what the ombudsman must do after you file a complaint. If they won't investigate, they must tell you why. If they will investigate, they must tell you and the agency they're looking into. It's a short rule about notifying people.

The statute, as written — Notice to complainant and agency

If the ombudsman decides not to investigate, he shall inform the complainant of that decision and shall state his reasons. If the ombudsman decides to investigate, he shall notify the complainant of his decision and he shall also notify the agency of his intention to investigate.
