HRS §321-18

Penalty for breaking department rules

This section says that if you break a rule made by the Department of Health, and no other penalty is already set for that rule, you can be charged with a misdemeanor. A misdemeanor is a minor crime. This only applies to rules adopted under the proper process.

Except when another penalty is provided, every person who violates any rule of the department, after the same has been adopted, as provided in section 321-10, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
