When you ask a question, the question and the sections of law found for it are sent to a language model, through OpenRouter, to write the answer. That is how the site works; there is no version of it that does not send your question to that model.

So write your question as you would write it on a postcard. Do not put your name, address, case number, or anyone else’s details into it. You do not need to — the law says the same thing regardless of who is asking.

With an account: your email address and whatever name you gave, held by Clerk, our sign-in provider. Every question you ask and the answer it produced. Counts of how many questions you have asked today and this month.

Without an account: your IP address and a count of questions asked from it. That is the only way to apply a limit to someone who has not signed in.

If you subscribe: Stripe holds your card details and we never see them. We keep your Stripe customer identifier, whether the subscription is active, and when it renews.

There are no advertising trackers, and nothing about you is sold to anybody.

Your email identifies your account. Your saved questions exist so you can find them again. The counts enforce each plan’s limits, which is what keeps the site affordable to run. The IP counts do the same for people without an account.

Clerk — sign-in and your email address. Stripe — payments; they hold card details, we do not. OpenRouter, and the model provider behind it — your question and the sections of law found for it. Neon — the database. Vercel — hosting and server logs. Cloudflare — the domain name.

Each sees only what it needs to do its job. None is given anything for advertising.

A saved question is private until you share it. Sharing gives it a link at lawtrove.org/share/… that anyone holding the link can open without signing in. It is not listed anywhere, but treat it as public: a link can be forwarded. You can stop sharing at any time from the menu beside the question.

Saved questions stay until you delete them, or until you delete your account. IP counts are removed by a daily job once the period they count has passed, so nothing keeps a record of which addresses visited beyond that. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Delete any saved question from the menu beside it. Change or delete your account from the account menu; deleting the account deletes your saved questions with it. For anything else — a copy of what we hold, or deletion of something not covered above — write to support@kahidreamers.com.

Only what sign-in needs. Clerk sets a cookie to keep you signed in, and your county choice is kept in your own browser. No advertising or analytics cookies.

LawTrove is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be announced on the site.
