LawTrove holds a copy of Hawaiʻi statutes, the State Constitution, and the ordinances of the four counties, and uses a language model to answer questions about them in ordinary words.

An answer is a computer-generated restatement. It can be wrong, out of date, or miss a section that matters. Every answer links to the official text at the body that publishes it, and that published version is the law — our copy is a convenience. Check it before relying on anything.

Published law also lags the law actually passed. The Legislature’s statutes are republished once a year, so for roughly six months the published text does not include Acts already passed. County codes lag their own ordinances similarly.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and do not share an account with people who should not have it. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the site or break these terms.

Pro costs $49 a month, charged in advance, and renews automatically each month until you cancel. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.

You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next charge and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund partial months, because you keep the service for the whole month you bought.

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries for several days and you keep Pro during that time. If it never succeeds, the subscription ends and the account returns to the free plan.

If the price changes, existing subscribers will be told before it applies to them.

Each plan allows a number of questions per day and per month. The limits are published on the Pro page, and they exist because each answer costs money to produce. We may adjust them, and will not reduce a paid plan’s limits during a period you have paid for.

Do not script the site, scrape it in bulk, resell access, or work around the limits. Do not use it to break the law or to harm anyone. The underlying law is public and free — if you want the text in bulk, take it from the publishers rather than from us.

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, or that answers will be accurate, complete, or current. To the extent the law allows, KahiDreamers is not liable for anything arising from your use of the site, and any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

That is not a disclaimer we hide behind lightly: it is why every answer links to the official text, and why we say plainly which version governs.

You may stop using the site or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — payment owed, disclaimers, limits of liability — survive.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Hawaiʻi, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes. Continuing to use the site after a material change means you accept it. Questions go to support@kahidreamers.com.
