Hiring staff for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs
This section lets the administrator of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs hire the staff needed to do the office's work. These staff can be hired without following the usual state hiring rules and can be let go at any time. They get the same benefits as other state employees.

The administrator may employ and retain such officers and employees as may be necessary to carry out the functions of the office. Such officers and employees may be hired without regard to chapter 76, and shall serve at the pleasure of the administrator. Officers and employees of the office of Hawaiian affairs shall be included in any benefit program generally applicable to officers and employees of the State.
