(a) The training required by this part shall apply to members of the land use commission, board of land and natural resources, commission on water resource management, environmental advisory council, board of directors of the agribusiness development corporation, board of agriculture and biosecurity, legacy land conservation commission, natural area reserves system commission, and Hawaii historic places review board. (b) Members of any state council, board, or commission, and any officer, representative, or employee of the State or counties not subject to the training required in subsection (a) may request to enroll in the training course administered by the office of Hawaiian affairs pursuant to section 10-42.
