Rules for disciplining state defense force members

This section says that discipline for the Hawaii state defense force should follow the same rules as the Hawaii army national guard, as much as possible. When members are on active duty, they are covered by a separate law (chapter 124B). They are considered on active duty from the time stated in their official call-up order.

The statute, as written — Discipline

(a) The discipline of the Hawaii state defense force shall, to the extent practicable, conform to that of the Hawaii army national guard. (b) When in the active service of the Hawaii state defense force, members of the Hawaii state defense force are subject to chapter 124B. Members are deemed to be in the active service of the Hawaii state defense force from the date and time specified in any order lawfully calling them into such service.
