Punishment for disobeying military orders or rules
This section says that anyone covered by this chapter who breaks a lawful military order, rule, or regulation, or who fails to do their duty, can be punished by a court-martial. The punishment is decided by that court.
The statute, as written — Failure to obey order, regulation, or rule
Any person subject to this chapter who: (1) Violates or fails to obey any lawful general order, regulation, or rule; (2) Having knowledge of any other lawful order issued by a member of the state military forces, that it is that person's duty to obey, fails to obey the order; or (3) Is derelict in the performance of that person's duties, shall be punished as directed by a court-martial.
