This law overrides other conflicting laws

This section says that when this chapter is used, it wins over any other state law, county charter, or local ordinance that says something different. If there is a conflict, this chapter is the one that applies.

The statute, as written — Applicability

This chapter shall control and be supreme in the event it shall be employed notwithstanding any statutory, charter, or ordinance provision to the contrary or in conflict herewith.
