The state fire marshal must advise the governor on the best way to use the state's firefighting resources, after consulting with the Hawaii emergency management agency. This section only covers that advisory role.

The state fire marshal, in consultation with the Hawaii emergency management agency, shall provide advice and counsel to the governor on the most practical utilization of the firefighting resources of the State.
