Police keep other powers

This section says that police can still take guns or ammunition from someone if they have other legal authority to do so. It does not change any other laws that allow removal. This is a narrow rule about police powers.

The provisions of this part shall not affect the ability of a law enforcement officer to remove firearms or ammunition from any person pursuant to other lawful authority.
