Department's powers to support agriculture

This section gives the Department of Agriculture extra powers to help farming. It may build, fix, or remove structures on its own land, and may allow a renter to do the same. It does not set rules for the public.

In addition to any other powers authorized in this chapter, to support and promote agriculture, the department may: (1) Plan, design, construct, operate, manage, maintain, repair, demolish, and remove infrastructure or improvements on any lands under the jurisdiction of the department; and (2) Permit a lessee to plan, design, construct, operate, manage, maintain, repair, demolish, and remove infrastructure or improvements on any lands under the jurisdiction of the department.
