Breaking a fence to let animals trespass

This law makes it a crime to intentionally break a fence or open a gate to let an animal in or out so it can trespass. It also covers leading or driving an animal to a place where it can trespass. Each time you do this, you commit a petty misdemeanor.

The statute, as written — Breaking, etc., of fence; penalty

If any person maliciously and designedly opens a gateway, or breaks a fence, so as to allow any animal ingress or egress, so that it may commit a trespass, or maliciously and designedly drives or leads any animal into another locality where it may commit a trespass, the person shall, for every offense, be guilty of a petty misdemeanor.
