Quarantine between islands

This section lets the agriculture department quarantine live animals moving between Hawaiian islands if there is a good reason. The quarantine can happen at the shipping or receiving port. It only covers the quarantine process, not other animal rules.

The statute, as written — Quarantine between islands

Live animals passing between the islands of the State may be quarantined as provided by law, at either the port of shipment or of delivery, on good cause shown to the department of agriculture and biosecurity at the port of entry nearest to the port of shipment or delivery.
