State authority to register pesticides and issue permits

The board can make rules to run state programs for registering pesticides for special local needs and for giving out experimental use permits. These rules must follow federal pesticide law. This section only gives the board this authority.

The board shall have authority to adopt rules, as necessary, consistent with section 5(f) and section 24(c) of FIFRA, to develop and implement state programs for registration of pesticides for special local needs and issuance of experimental use permits.
