This section defines two terms used in this part of the law. It explains what days and times count as normal school hours. It also lists the types of schools that are covered.

As used in this part: "Normal school hours" means Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., excluding days when classes are not in session. "School" means any public or private preschool, kindergarten, elementary, intermediate, middle, secondary, or high school.
