Board can assign its duties to staff

The board or its chairperson can let certain department employees do the tasks and use the powers given to them by this law. Those employees act with the same authority as the board or chairperson. This section only covers this delegation of duties.

The statute, as written — Delegation of duties

All authority vested in the board or chairperson by virtue of this chapter may with like force and effect be exercised by those employees of the department as the board or chairperson may from time to time designate for the purpose.
