Anyone who breaks this law or the department's rules gets fined. The first time costs at least $100 and up to $1,000. Each later violation costs at least $1,000 and up to $5,000.

The statute, as written — Violations; penalties
Every person who violates this chapter or any rule adopted by the department pursuant to section 150-22, shall be fined not less than $100 nor more than $1,000 for the first offense, and not less than $1,000 nor more than $5,000 for each offense thereafter.
