How reserve funds may be invested

The finance director can invest money that is held in reserve or not needed right away. The investments must be in property or securities that savings banks are allowed to invest in. This section gives permission, not a requirement.

The director of finance may authorize the investment of any funds held in reserves, or any funds not required for immediate disbursement, in property or securities in which savings banks may legally invest funds subject to their control.
