How long a water use permit stays valid

A water use permit in a designated water management area lasts until the area's designation is ended, unless the permit is revoked or modified under other rules. This section only sets the duration; it does not explain revocation or modification.

The statute, as written — Duration of permits

Each permit for water use in a designated water management area shall be valid until the designation of the water management area is rescinded, unless revoked as provided in section 174C-58 or modified as provided in section 174C-57.
