How contested case hearings are appealed

This section says that the usual rules for contested cases apply, unless they conflict with this chapter. If there is a conflict, this chapter wins. Any appeal from a hearing under this section goes straight to the supreme court, based on the hearing record.

The statute, as written — Contested cases

Chapter 91 shall apply except where it conflicts with this chapter. In such a case, this chapter shall apply. Any other law to the contrary notwithstanding, including chapter 91, any contested case hearing under this section shall be appealed upon the record directly to the supreme court for final decision.
