Asking for money to open more trails

The department can ask the legislature for money to buy rights to trails and access points that are closed to the public or needed for the trail program. This section only allows the department to make such requests.

The department may request the legislature for appropriations to acquire rights to trails and accesses which are closed to public use or which are necessary to effectuate the trail and access program.
