Mistakes on title records do not make them invalid

A certificate of title or other official record under this chapter is still valid even if it has wrong information or is missing required details, unless a specific exception applies. This means small errors or omissions do not automatically cancel the record.

Except as otherwise provided in section 490:9-337, a certificate of title or other record required or authorized by this chapter shall be effective even if it contains incorrect information or does not contain required information.
