Bonds are free from state and county taxes

Bonds issued under this chapter and the income they earn are not taxed by the state or county. The only taxes that still apply are estate and transfer taxes. This means you do not pay regular state or county taxes on these bonds.

Bonds and the income therefrom issued pursuant to this chapter shall be exempt from all state and county taxation except estate and transfer taxes.
