HRS §21B-1

Impeachment of the governor or lieutenant governor

This section explains how impeachment starts and where the hearing happens. The House of Representatives begins it by passing a resolution that names managers to write and recommend articles of impeachment. If adopted, those articles go to the Senate, which holds the hearing as a court. Each house makes its own rules for this process.
