This section explains how the public can suggest changes to this chapter. Anyone can send a proposal to the office and the legislature. The office must review the proposal and give its recommendations to the legislature before the next session starts.

The statute, as written — [OLD] REPEALED

L 1991, c 76, pt of §1. §226-54 Amendments to this chapter. Amendments to this chapter shall be adopted in accordance with the legislative review process. Proposals from the general public to initiate amendments to any provision of this chapter, shall be subject to the following provisions: (1) Any person may submit proposals to amend this chapter to the office and the legislature; and (2) The office shall review proposed amendments and submit its findings and recommendations to the legislature thirty days prior to the convening of the next legislative session.
