HRS §231-21

When tax payments are due on weekends or holidays

If a tax payment or required document is due on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, it is not due until the next day that is not a weekend or holiday. This gives you extra time to file or pay.

The statute, as written — Due date on Saturday, Sunday, or holiday

When the due date for any remittance or document required by any law imposing a tax falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, the remittance or document shall not be due until the next succeeding day which is not a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday.
