Court costs paid when citation was justified
If a circuit court says there was good reason for the citation and the legal steps taken under this law, the finance director must pay the costs of serving the citation and other legal expenses that have not been paid yet. The money comes from a special tax reserve fund.

Whenever a circuit court certifies that there was probable cause for issuing a citation and taking proceedings under this chapter, the director of finance shall pay from the tax reserve fund provided in section 231-23(c)(2), or allow, all expenses incurred for services of citation and other lawful disbursements that have not otherwise been paid.
