Making or using fake stamps is a serious crime

This section makes it a serious crime to make, change, or reuse a stamp, or to have or give out a stamp that was falsely made, changed, or reused. The crime is a class B felony, which is a major offense.

The statute, as written — Counterfeiting stamps

A person shall be guilty of a class B felony if the person: (1) Intentionally or knowingly makes, alters, or reuses a stamp as defined in section 245-1; or (2) Knowingly possesses or distributes a stamp that has been falsely made, altered, or reused.
