Unfair trade practices

This section says that breaking any rule in this part is an unfair business practice and can lead to a civil penalty. Each pack of cigarettes sold in violation counts as a separate violation.

The statute, as written — Unfair trade practices

Any violation of this part shall constitute an unfair method of competition and unfair and deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of any trade of commerce under section 480-2 and shall be subject to a civil penalty as provided in section 480-3.1. Each package of cigarettes sold in violation of this part shall constitute a separate violation.
