Registering electric foot scooters and paying the fee

If you own an electric foot scooter, you must register it and pay a one-time $30 fee to the finance director. The money goes into the bikeway fund. This section only covers registration and the fee.

The statute, as written — Electric foot scooters; registration

An electric foot scooter shall be required to be registered, and shall be subject to a permanent registration fee of $30, to be paid by the owners thereof to the director of finance to be deposited into the bikeway fund under section 249-17.5, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
