If you break the rule in section 264-101, you can be charged with a petty misdemeanor. The court can fine you up to $1,000, put you in jail for up to 30 days, or both.

Any person who violates section 264-101 is guilty of a petty misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both.
