Creating the Broadband Office and its Leader
This section sets up a new state office called the Broadband Office inside the Department of Accounting and General Services. The governor will pick a person to lead it, called the Strategic Broadband Coordinator. This leader does not have to follow normal state hiring rules.

(a) There is established the broadband office within the department of accounting and general services for administrative purposes only. (b) Without regard to section 26-34, the governor shall appoint a strategic broadband coordinator, who shall be exempt from chapter 76, to head the broadband office.
