Carbon concrete standards

This section says all state transportation projects for highways, harbors, and airports must use the carbon concrete standards in the department's 2020 special provisions. The transportation director can exempt a project if needed or if federal law requires different procedures.

The statute, as written — Carbon concrete standards

All department of transportation highway, harbor, and airport projects shall conform to the applicable carbon concrete standards contained in division 600 of the highways division of the department of transportation's special provisions for standard specifications dated July 10, 2020. The director of transportation may issue an exemption to carbon concrete standards upon a determination that such exemption is necessary or when specific projects require that different procedures are mandated under federal law.
