Fee for apostille or certification

The lieutenant governor's office must charge a fee for every apostille or non-apostille certification it issues. The fee amount is set under another law. Money collected goes into a special fund for apostilles and certifications.

The statute, as written — Fee

(a) The office of the lieutenant governor shall charge and collect a fee for each apostille or non-apostille certification issued. The office of the lieutenant governor shall establish fees pursuant to section 27J-4. (b) Moneys collected for the issuance of apostilles or non-apostille certifications shall be deposited into the apostilles and certifications special fund established pursuant to section 27J-3.
