HRS §28-9

Extra deputy attorneys general for buying rights-of-way

This section lets the attorney general hire extra deputy attorneys general, beyond the usual budget, to handle legal work for buying rights-of-way. The state transportation department pays for these lawyers from the highway fund. It is a narrow rule about hiring and paying for these specific lawyers.
