You cannot let an unlicensed person drive your vehicle

This law says you must not let someone drive your car or moped on a road if that person is not legally allowed to drive. It applies to vehicles you own or control. There is an exception in another law, but this section mainly bans that permission.

Except as provided in section 291E-67, no person shall authorize or knowingly permit a motor vehicle or moped owned by that person or under that person's control to be driven upon any highway by any person who is not authorized under law to drive the motor vehicle or moped.
