Who can give oaths and take statements

This section lets the driver examiner and their authorized staff give oaths and take sworn statements, either spoken or written, from anyone. This is only for getting information needed under the driver licensing rules. It does not create any other duties or penalties.

The examiner of drivers and each authorized subordinate may administer oaths and require and take oral or written statements under oath of any individual in connection with any information required under this part or any rule under part VI and this part.
