When proof of financial responsibility is no longer valid

If your proof of financial responsibility no longer meets the law's requirements, the administrator can require you to file new proof. Until you do, your license and registration (or nonresident driving privilege) will be suspended.

The statute, as written — Other proof may be required

Whenever any proof of financial responsibility filed under this chapter no longer fulfills the purposes for which required, the administrator shall, for the purpose of this chapter, require other proof as required by this chapter and shall suspend the license and registration or the nonresident's operating privilege pending the filing of such other proof.
