Clinging to vehicles

This law bans people on toys or bikes from holding onto moving vehicles on the road. It covers coasters, roller skates, sleds, toy bikes, and other toy vehicles, as well as regular bicycles and mopeds. The rule is simple: no hitching a ride by grabbing onto another vehicle.

The statute, as written — Clinging to vehicles

No person riding upon any coaster, roller skates, sled, or toy bicycle or other toy vehicle shall attach it or oneself to any vehicle upon a roadway, and no person riding a bicycle or moped upon any roadway shall attach the bicycle or moped or oneself to any vehicle other than the one the person is riding.
