Revocation or suspension of license
If a court convicts you of a moving traffic violation under state law, the court can also take away or suspend your driver's license for up to one year. This is on top of any other penalties. This section only covers that extra license action.

In addition to the penalties heretofore provided, the court may revoke or may suspend, for a period not to exceed one year, the license of any driver convicted of a violation of any section or provision of the state traffic laws involving a vehicle in motion.
