What happens if you ignore a traffic ticket

If you get a traffic ticket and do not respond within 14 days, the bureau will send a court summons to the vehicle's registered owner, ordering them to appear in court.

The statute, as written — Failure to comply with summons or citation

If a violator of this part does not return an answer in response to a summons or citation within a period of fourteen days upon receipt of the summons or citation, the traffic, emergency period, and fireworks violations bureau shall issue to the registered owner of the vehicle a penal summons ordering the registered owner's appearance in court.
