Use of school facilities for after-school child care

This section lets the Department of Education make agreements with people or groups to use public school buildings and grounds for after-school child care programs. The Board of Education must create rules to make this work.

The statute, as written — Use of school facilities for after-school child care

The department may enter into agreements and contracts with individuals, organizations, or agencies for the use of public school buildings, facilities, and grounds for the operation of after-school child care programs. The board shall issue such rules as are necessary to carry out the purposes of this section.
