HRS §302A-492

How to cancel a special education power of attorney

An adult student can cancel their special education power of attorney in writing. Teachers, agents, and guardians must tell the supervising teacher and the school about the cancellation. A divorce or legal separation also cancels a spouse's role unless stated otherwise, and a newer power of attorney overrides an older one where they conflict.
