Board's power to run community colleges

The board of regents can create and manage community colleges. It has the same authority over them as it does over the university. This section gives the board broad control.

The board of regents shall have authority to establish and govern community colleges. The board shall have the same powers with respect to the community colleges that it has as to the university in general.
