State aquarium special fund setup and use
This section creates a special fund for the state aquarium. All money from admission fees and facility or program use fees goes into this fund. The university can keep the money outside the state treasury if it tells the finance director where and provides annual statements. The fund pays for running the aquarium.

The statute, as written — State aquarium special fund
There is established the state aquarium special fund into which shall be deposited all revenues derived from all fees for admission and all fees for the use of aquarium facilities and programs collected in conjunction with the operation of the state aquarium. The special fund may be deposited in depositories other than the state treasury; provided that the university: (1) Informs the director of finance of the depositories in which moneys from the special fund have been deposited; and (2) Submits copies of annual statements from each of the depositories in which the moneys from the special fund are deposited. Moneys deposited in this fund shall be expended for the operation of the state aquarium.
