No TB test needed for short noncredit courses

If you want to take a noncredit course at a University of Hawaii campus that lasts less than fifteen days, you do not have to show a tuberculosis clearance certificate to enroll. This rule applies even if other laws say otherwise.

The statute, as written — Tuberculosis clearance certification; exemption

Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, a person wishing to enroll at a campus within the University of Hawaii system solely to participate in a noncredit, short-term course, lasting less than fifteen days, shall not be required to present, as a condition to enrollment or otherwise, a tuberculosis clearance certification.
